3 Traffic Drivers (Fast Results are a Myth)
2 Messaging Tips (That Address Your Audience's Struggle)
1st Step in Messaging (to sell an offer)
Spent the weekend cleaning up from a big party that celebrated my husband's birthday. As a former personal chef married to a cocktail connoisseur, I have to say that our parties are pretty amazing 😉 If you were in Austin, I would have invited you 💗

Three Traffic Drivers (it's a myth that you can get "Fast Results")
Every consult I perform usually includes the new client asking the same question, "but how do I drive traffic to my website?"
There's really no secret. There are 3 main ways to grow your email list. The biggest obstacle is that each one takes time to perfect and most people are looking for "fast results" which doesn't really exist.
You truly cannot rush it. It takes time to understand your followers and what resonates with them. By time, I mean years.
I believe it takes about three years to get to know your audience. What are your thoughts on that?
#1 Weekly Content
It's simple. You create valuable weekly content (blog, newsletter, video, podcast) then share it with the world through social media and your email list. You're continually testing the content on various platforms to figure out who is listening and what they want to hear. This method works, but it takes consistency and reiteration. It takes time to figure out who is your target market.
#2 Social Media
This is really just breaking down your weekly content into smaller pieces and sharing it one to three times a day on Instagram, LinkedIn, etc. It's about spreading the word that you have weekly content. As above, you're continually testing out sharing your content in different forms on various platforms to figure out who is listening and what they want to hear. This method also works, but as above, it takes consistency and reiteration.
#3 Paid Ads
Sadly, this is often the first place someone new to digital marketing goes. I see folks all the time jumping into paid ads without understanding their audience first. They want to grow and they want "fast results". Hiring an ads manager does not solve this problem. The ad manager does not know your audience either. Sure, they know how to create an ad and reiterate for best results as they know it, but they would get a much, much higher conversion rate if they worked with someone who understood their target market before hiring them.
BONUS #4: Affiliates & Collaborations:
There are other avenues for growing an audience. If you have lots of friends or connections, they can become affiliates and sell your program for you. You can also reach out to others with a similar target market and do a joint venture such as being a guest on their podcast, sharing IG posts, or writing an article for their publication.
All this is addressed in the Small Steps, Big Results program 👇
👉If you work best with a step-by-step approach, you're going to love this comprehensive 52-week program consisting of 15 minutes of action steps each day.

Dedicating 15 minutes a day of focused effort will accomplish so much.
Two Messaging Tips (to address your audience's struggles)
Your audience is struggling with attempting to solve a problem. Your online program is what solves that problem.
The reason why a sales page is so important is that it presents your audience's problem before the headline of "introducing my program".
The big question is, "how do you go about presenting the problem on the sales page?"
The answer is: By describing their external and internal struggle.
#1 External Struggle
What would a video camera capture? What is obviously visual about a person going through this struggle? What symptoms is your target market presenting that shows the world that they have this problem?
Ex: They’re sad at work, sluggish and unmotivated which is evident in their posture. They receive their paycheck and fall into a bit of depression for all the hard work they put in for little pay.
👆Can you visualize what this person looks like in their current state?
#2 Internal Struggle
This is how your audience thinks and feels about their problem. It’s what they say to themselves about their emotional state because of this problem. This is their internal representation of the problem.
Ex: The internal problem is that they’re stuck, but the external problem is that they’re not getting the leads and sales that they want.
Messaging Help👉 Based on this, if I lead my messaging with a broad, intangible problem (like “I’m stuck”), the messaging is going to read far too general to be able to connect with the audience.
To really connect with the audience, I have to start with the external. “I don’t have the income I want to live my life the way I want”. This is an external belief so I would address in this particular sales page.
Are you currently addressing both external and internal beliefs on your sales page? Are you starting with the external belief to hone in on your target market?
One (First) Step in Messaging (to sell an offer)
With all this talk about messaging, "where and how exactly do I even begin," you may be wondering.
The first step is actually starting with a belief. What is it that your audience needs to believe in order to "buy into" your offer?
Example:
- “Marketing foundations is the most effective way to bring sales into your personal chef business. Not only will I teach you marketing foundations, I’ll also provide the other framework items needed to complete your personal chef business foundation."
- My customer has to first buy into the belief that marketing foundations is the most effective way to grow their business.
Now, what's the belief behind your offer?
