The How-To's of Designing an Email Nurture Sequence

Nurture, "care for and encourage the growth or development of."

Even though the first email you send with your freebie download has the highest open rate, that doesn't mean that your audience is reading and implementing the action steps outlined in the freebie.

You may have to do a little hand holding to move them along the customer journey from where they're at now to where they'd like to be ultimately.

A subsequent email could ask, "Have you implemented step two in the freebie yet? I'm curious about your outcome. Did you have any questions from it? Just in case you've misplaced that email, here's the download again."

Your audience is going to be more likely to move along in that customer journey you've created if they actually download and implement your action steps. A gentle reminder will help!

From there, other emails in your sequence could include more detailed information for each of the steps of your freebie, one email for each step.

You've always said that "someday" you'll start that coaching or consulting business, but where do you begin?
